Healthy Debate!!!

16 Sep

Ok, it is that time of year. It is election season. I, like many, have a lot to discuss when it comes to the direction of your country. Last week, we had a few friends over for a stack of ribs. I love ribs. but, during the night there was a healthy portion of debate on how and where are country is going. I have my thoughts. I don’t want to get in what I believe. I wanted to talk about how interesting to see how people talk about politics. It really seems like people have a lot to say. I disagree with some and agree with others. I really enjoyed the hear the excitement in people this year. I really think that as I have watched the campaign season, and I want to be apart of future solutions. I don’t want to be on the sidelines anymore. It am so excited to see this campaign progress. It should be fun to watch, and be apart of.

Wow… I have seen an anger or what I felt was more of an anger over politics recently. What is even worse is the passion over the presidential picks. I was enlightened when you called it “excitement”. How correct you are….. Excitement is a better word…
I guess I shouldn’t feel as bad as I did when I received this e-mail:

    Solidarity,

There are fewer than three months until the election, an election that
will decide the next President of the United States . The person elected
will be the president of all Americans, not just the Democrats or the
    Republicans.

To show our solidarity as Americans, let’s all get together and show each
other our support for the candidate of our choice. It’s time that we all
came together Democrats and Republicans alike.

If you support the policies and character of John McCain, please drive
with your headlights on during the day.

If you support Obama, please drive with your headlights off at night,

    Thank you and God Bless

Joel, politics don’t get me riled up. Talking about how awful junior high was is what really gets me going. I can discribe junior high in 3 words: awful, awful, awful.
