First, thank you to everyone who reads this blog. Every comment and page view has really meant a lot to Joel. I, Erika, my mother, and Bryan really appreciate everything all you out there have done for Joel. I wish I could touch as many people’s lives Joel has.
In other news, we are happy to announce that anyone who wants to make a donation to help Joel, now have a simple way of doing it: just stop by any local U.S. Bank branch and make a contribution to Joel’s donation account, which was set up in Vancouver, Wash., and is in the name of Joel W. Yates, of Tempe, Ariz.
Joel will use the donations to pay for expenses and equipment not covered by insurance, including a hand bike, a standing machine and to help cover the costs of retrofitting his car and his residence.
Amber Nalgene bottles emblazoned with a Joel’s Recovery logo — thanks Eric! — are also available for a minimum $25 donation. If you would like a bottle, send a letter with your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and a check made out to Joel W. Yates Donation Account to 6650 Walker Ct., Longmont, CO 80503. There are a limited number of bottles.
