The walk this morning from my apartment to Joel’s room was eerily beautiful. Everything outside is blanketed with sticky, white snow. The streets are empty and many of the Craig staff never made it home last night (they slept in the gym).
At lunch, after a challenging two hours of stretching and cruising the hallways, we walked outside on the patio. This was only the second time since the accident (except in transport) he’s been outside. The cool air felt great in our lungs.
Later, Joel tried on his new Broncos winter cap (Thank you Dowds!) when he was chilled after he got his first shower.
A daily routine here at Craig is beginning to emerge, which is a pleasant change from the chaos of the past three weeks.
Much love to all,
