This Morning

15 Dec

After Joel got some good rest, his family and friends saw Joel about 10 a.m. He was pretty out of it. Sleeping a ton. He said a couple of things to us but that was it. The nurses said he slept OK last night. They even made Erika leave. He’s on a little pain medication and getting propped up every now and then. They set him at a 30-degree angle when they give him ice chips. He really likes to sit up. They hope to give him some food later today. Because of Joel’s injury and surgery, he will most likely be in the ICU until it’s time to transfer him for rehab. Hopefully he will be able to make that decision soon. Rory, Bryan, and Jessica are heading to the rehab facility in Phoenix to take a tour this afternoon.

I am a friend of Joel’s from Albuquerque. Glad to hear about the possitive progress Joel is making. He is a very strong guy and that can only help. Everyone in the Lynn Family is thinking of Joel and keeping him in our prayers.

Keep glowing! You have an amazing spirit and you eminate light into everyone’s path you cross. You’re an amazing guy and I’m so sorry that life has given you such a challenge to overcome. If anybody can do it, it’s definitely you.

You are in my thoughts and prayers along with about 30 other women that I’m with, sort of down the road a bit in Wickenburg, AZ.

If you don’t remember me, I’m a buddy from Portland that used to hang out with you and Bryan. We went skiing together a few times and look forward to an opportunity to you again.

Best of luck to you and Erika. You are strong.

Lot’s of love and best wishes.

I’m glad to hear the surgery went well and know that now you’re on your way to a full recovery. I wish I could be out there in AZ to support ya, but I want you to know I’ve got every construction worker out here in Beantown (non-union and union alike) pulling for you.

I can’t wait to come back to AZ and ride those bikes again with you and Erika to the bars.

Lots of love to you and your family (and your Flagstaff buds as they took good care of me).

Hello, Joel and All in Flagstaff…
Great to hear the surgery went well. Hang in there and get better. We talked to Paul today and we talked about how we are all praying and thinking about you. We’ll be interested to know what the “Rehab Research Team” comes up with. Love and gentle hugs, G & E…
