I think pitching in to buy him a cool bike he could ride with his hands would be a great way to keep him active after surgery,

Erika – I can help you or anyone else set up a PayPal donation link that you can post on this blog. I’d also like to run a poker tourney fundraiser of some kind in Jan or Feb to raise some money.

Let us know what you come up with and we will be happy to help. it may be a good idea to see what the folks at the rehab recommend and go from there.

A friend of the family was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness a few years ago. We had a fund set up through the foundation at the hospital. The social worker on staff was the point of contact for us for getting it started. Let me know if you need any help at all: 480-560-4438

Some friends lost their house to a fire last winter. As a fundraiser for them, local businesses donated gear, restaurant gift certificates, massages, persoanl training sessions, jewlery, hotel stays, and more. A silent auction was held at a local restaurant, and it had a great turnout. I’m sure you could also try to get golf packages, maybe some gear or getaways from Flag or Sedona, may be some flights (Bryan?). Just a thought.
